On Dobbs: We Dissent + We Vote
Reading Dobbs - Lend your voice!
We are reading the Supreme Court decision and invite you to join us. We are compiling recordings of many people reading sections, to memorialize our dissent. There is no homework required, but you can find a copy of the opinion under the Resource heading on this page. Questions? Email: firstname.lastname@example.org

June 24: Supreme Court removed our human rights and declared women's bodies as objects that are property of the state.
July: We set a date to meet up and discuss Dobbs. We agreed to meet again - and take the time to read the entire decision.
August: We found the majority opinion deeply infuriating and decided to read it out loud, together, and go through it step by step.
September: Finding this a powerful exercise, we set out to record a reading of Dobbs.
We know that in 50 or 100 years, people will look back at this decision as one of the most harmful actions taken by the United States Supreme Court with respect to women's human rights and civil rights for pregnant people.
